Use as an informal screen hedge or stand-alone accent. Border with low-growing shrubs such as Podocarpus pringles and Clusia nana. Best planted in partial sun or shade in South Florida, avoiding direct overhead mid-day sun. Prune only after blooms are finished. Can be prone to scales which are treatable with a topical insecticidal soap.
